"Protect the Dolls" is a solidarity slogan and cultural term used to advocate for the safety, dignity, and rights of transgender women. It is a perfectly legitimate view to hold. Indeed, the rights of transgender women are protected in law.

Sad to learn this weekend of Sinead Collins' sudden passing. She was a tireless comrade in the Scottish independence movement, sound LGBT+ ally (particularly in the fight against transphobia), and dedicated women's rights advocate. All the love to her surviving family and friends, she is missed 💙

I knew Sinéad through the SNP - not as well as I’d have liked to, but we spent time together quite a few times and she was a fantastic person. Absolutely devastated at today’s news.
