#LakeDistrictDiary day 10, last Friday A wet shopping morning but the weather improved later so we tried a route along the Derwent via the permissive path from the K2T trail and back below Latrigg through Brundholme Woods. The path was lovely with gaps to gorgeous views of the fells 😊

After an early start my day turned to mince when I arrived at my chosen wood to find the whole place closed for forestry operations. I mooched around a bit and found myself later at the Roman quarry in Gelt Woods. This little Prince of Wales fern caught my eye there.
