A fellow HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) shared a video clip with me that blew my mind. It referenced HSPs’ need for guilt-free alone time. But the thing is, HSPs (generally) are also highly sensitive to how others feel. THUS WE WANT TO BE ALONE BUT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT! This explains so much.

One of the hardest things about chronic pain is telling people you can't just go from one activity to next but need to build in long periods of rest (i.e. days) to recover. They look at you like they don't understand (how could they?). Pain exhaustion is real. All we can do is try to survive well.
