Honestly: The US system is just terribly thought out. Lifetime Supreme Court justices? Single mandate districts just perfect for gerrymandering? WTF is it with the electoral college? Worst democracy I've ever seen... Americans are deluded to think otherwise. It's a miracle it survived this long.

Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

‘Batteries have met 8.01% of demand in 2026 in the world's 4th-largest economy’ And most (all?) of that battery capacity is charged by solar that would have been curtailed. One can say batteries don’t generate electricity, but they did enable this electricity to exist - and this is overnight solar.
