I also feel obliged to point out that after Nintendo released the Wii U to commercial failure, in order to prevent layoffs, Satoru Iwata took a 50% pay cut. That should be a reminder that while 400 ppl lost their jobs, Andrew Wilson never took a pay cut to prevent it.

Just saw an IG post talking about "I know this popular new book is AI but I'm not going to name the author because I'm just a smol bean." No. To start with: no, you do not "know" that the book is AI. Do you “know” it because the writing’s bad? Yeah, well, that’s not proof, sadly. /1

… and I guess the fact that this virtual finger points most often at BIPOC authors is just a coincidence. I don't know what the solution is to the AI rot that’s eating away at the foundations of our livelihoods and our art, but "that book is fake, trust me bro” is not it. That’s witch-hunt shit./3
