I’m not sure exactly what you’re saying but obviously once we learned in early 2016 that Trump was competitive in a general election, no one should be disappointed by anything this electorate does.

The problem is not the prediction that US instability makes a response necessary. The issue is the positive framing and the claim that a Trump victory was therefore a good thing for Europe.

Even Le Pong is not part of a talent pool here. France is bereft of any politician worth election, she is just the least worse than others. Fingers are crossed for a safe centre candidate that voters will go for.
