So the liability insurance is part of the cost-compare you may end up doing down the road, and checking if the trainer is certified.
Show PostFor sure, and one more thing I just thought about: A lot of gyms that offer trainers don't allow private training because the gym either requires their trainers to have liability insurance or they provide liability service for their employed trainers only.

Also the main reason to seek referral from your PCP is if you have any underlying health risks your doctor may want you to be wary of, as well as if you have a condition where seeing a physical therapist makes more sense before/in conjunction with seeking a gym. Some PTs are also coaches.
