I think the internet has a mostly positive effect on democracy because it gives people quick access to the information and a voice in public discussions. However, misinformation can spread just as quickly so ultimately it comes down to how the person uses the internet. #Media180FA26X08D

I think the Internet has mostly had a positive effect on democracy because it makes it easier to hear different opinions & learn different issues. I agree that personalization can come at the cost of privacy. I think the bigger issue is that people may not realize how much of their online behavior is being collected and used to influence what they see. This makes it harder for users to make fully informed choices online. #Media180FA26X08D
