Narnia has many christofascist flaws but one thing it got very right was in the last battle about people who are "so afraid of being taken in that they cannot be taken out". That is, so afraid of sincerity, or of suspending disbelief about something wonderful, they limit themselves.
Show PostI think it's the love that changes it, like if it's obvious that the writer is coming from a place of love and gentle teasing, that's great. The second it feels like the author wants us to know they are too good for the genre it just feels mean.
