Bose gets a lot of nationalist apologia within India for fighting alongside the Axis for Indian independence, but i feel like this narrative ends up legitimizing a lot of bad nationalist history

Indian nationalists tend to lionize Bose as an anti-imperial hero, but in the counterfactual where Bose was actually successful with Azad Hind, I'm not sure any Indian would be in the same position

as mentioned earlier, i would much rather discuss the eastern theatre of World War II than get stuck in contemporary political debate but i end up doing the latter anyway
