So the big twist is… Again big spoiler… It’s actually a play. Tom Cruise is playing a man who is playing Digger. Which is fucking insane considering the performance are of it all. You apparently learn halfway though that you weren’t watching reality. You were watching a constructed narrative.

Apparently the reveal happens early enough that the play and the backstage reality become the structure of the movie. Like 30 min in There are other things I won’t spoil. Especially since I haven’t seen it for myself. But this now makes even more sense why TS may have been pointing at this movie
