The double-click detection time is 500ms by default on macOS. Be very careful when adding double-click interactions to views. If you do, it’ll slow down every other interaction by half a second. To see it, use this in Terminal: swift -e 'import AppKit; print(NSEvent.doubleClickInterval * 1000)'

It’s nearly time! My annual gift guide will soon be under way. I’ve got some GREAT products already, but I want to hear yours. What’s your favorite gadget lately that’s unique, cool, and unknown? I don’t wanna hear about your Anker charger… stuff nobody knows about!

We’ve put everything into Skala. If I’m being honest, it’s been a huge mental challenge to work on something this big, for this long. Any support you can offer is appreciated.

We’ve been working on Skala for 15 years. We’re almost done. Please, tell all your designer and developer friends about it. bsky.app/profile/bjan...
