This world famous Etruscan parade chariot is bronze inlaid with ivory & depicts scenes from the life of Achilles. On the front, we see Thetis handing the weapons made by Hephaestus to Achilles. The sides show Achilles fighting Memnon & his apotheosis. It’s glorious 🕰️ Early 6th century BC 🏛️📷 NY Met
