People will say "why do you only talk about Israel when there's other countries doing massive violence?" And so with that in mind I'll just note that the UAE, which is backing a genocide in Sudan, as well as being a slave state, is being treated with delicate kid gloves by the government.

i read a bit into the Quran and i am pleased with this edition so far. It explains the Five Pillars early on. There is commentary on the Al-Ghaib, a concept which doesnt 1-1 translate into English. It seems to provide a philosophic framework for general inquiry, it's more than a religious "manual".
