It's amazing the mental gymnastics people will go through to justify theft provided (a) it's convenient for them and costs them nothing personally and (b) they think they are "sticking it" to big companies or (c) imagine some Robin-Hood esque outcome that is completely disconnected from reality.

People using AI to reverse engineer games to then turn around and publish clones is straight up theft. Why is anyone pretending otherwise? The only thing genAI is good at making is fucking talentless thieves. Prosecute the lot of them. Sue them to hell.
