At the start of the school year, West’s class went on a camping trip, but he had shoulder surgery recently and couldn’t go — so he and I did a father-son trip to Alaska. I don’t post photos of him online anymore, but my camera is full of photos of me and my almost-16-year old boy from this trip. 🧵

I’ve also become a permanent caregiver for someone with chronic mental health issues. It’s a lot to process. All that to say, some days are better than others, and some days you just wish you’d stayed in bed. Today was definitely one of those days. Just need to throw that into the universe.
