Attended a bizdev summit last month and there was a wild disconnect between keynote speakers claiming AI was the only way to make any game in 2026 (including an ex-big-publisher-exec calling the press "luddites") and indie devs presenting pitch decks all of which included "no AI" disclosures.

I say “we” because I was doing shopping for friends since it’s hard to get stuff here - I only got the boardgames, the solo RPG card deck, Rom Com Drama Bomb, In The Shadow of Glory, Host, UVG 2E, and the Triangle Agency Briefcase box.

i ended up being way better at being a DM than being a player because i'm good at improv but being a player brings out my worst impulses to try to be Funny over playing the game. but i'm also a natural worldbuilder and storyteller, so when I DM it's like a switch flips and i will lock the fuck in.
