Show Post20 September 1820: on a visit to Lyme Regis, Cambridge geologist Adam Sedgwick notes in his journal 'After breakfast purchase fossils of Miss Anning', perhaps the earliest mention of Mary Anning junior running the family fossil shop. He spent £3 2s on 'various fossils' and 'part of Ichthyosaurus'.
