I had a similar feeling about The Social Reckoning; these are both, basically, movies about people who have already amassed HUGE power &, in many ways, seem beyond consequences One of the people in the theater said it was odd how the Theranos woman went to prison, and Elon is still making billions
Show Post6) It is VERY LONG - I think close to 4 hours and has an intermission...so, if you go, be prepared for a LONG movie 7) In the end, it is a bit depressing...because the movie doesn't really have a POV about what to do about Elon and is not an attempt to solve the problem of Elon
Show PostIn other words, sacrificing people as his cars "improve" at self-driving or people die in the places he destabilizes or as a result of his chaos....He knows what is right, and for humanity to survive...HE needs to do what he is doing
Show PostHis abandoned son of a distant (and perhaps abusive) father and his belief that ANYTHING he wants must be for the good of us all, because he is Player One in the video game 2) The doc makes it incredibly clear that Musk thinks that collateral damage is ALWAYS acceptable b/c "greater good"
Show PostA few things about the @alexgibneyfilm.bsky.social documentary (now that I have seen it) 1) I think the most important connection is the one between Musk and Iron Man - from his satellite network (think Spider-Man: Far From Home) to his integration of AI into everything...but also 👇
