We need EVERYONE to get on board with this. People on both sides look about as foolish as someone in Ulaanbaatar giving opinions on Scottish independence in a vox pop. It was paternalistic British people deciding they knew best what should happen in the Middle East that got us into this mess.

This is completely and obviously true. States do not have rights. States are contingent structures which variously grant or withhold rights. In the case of Israel, the state withholds the right of Palestinians to exist.
