New album drop! I’m back from vacation and finally listened to Venom’s seminal 1982 BLACK METAL. This is as sludgy of production as you can have without having to explain what “kvlt” means, and they seem like genuinely scummy-but-not-illegal guys so it has a patina that I cannot deny.

Show PostToday’s album is Megadeth’s 1986 opus “PEACE SELLS…BUT WHOS BUYING?” I never really got into megadeth so I’m not initiated as I should be but damn, this is one you should give four tracks to get your feet under you. Mustaine vocals are wild, riffs galore, influence clear. Great metal, mediocre blues
