I don't want to put this specific person on blast - this is a common sentiment but also a wrong one in important ways. Is one game, specifically, going to condition how people think about WWII? No. Is the totality of the culture they consume around it going to? Yeah, obviously.

Maybe it’s because I am particularly sensitive to the matter because of my own circumstances, but I have yet to see any game studio, anywhere, justify a “return to offive” mandate. Honestly, these RTO orders just feel like a way for a company to try and do a soft layoff without paying severances.
