Much like Star Trek, one must be educated in the subjects it asks AI for assistance on. Hence why you still had specialists in engineering and medicine to ensure the answer provided is logical.

While this is also true of my experience with LLMs in most domains, I have to say that I've been heavily using Claude to write PL/I code for the Multics operating system and disassemble object code, and it's doing it nearly flawlessly despite having no access to a PL/I compiler or Multics system.
