Anyway yeah I'm happy with the direction of her character despite past missteps, and I also believe that Prime 4 overdid it on her silence, seeming more like they retracted from cold feet partway through. There's a happy middleground here that I hope Prime 5 continues from.

And yeah, her monologue is hokey, but also she's consistently been saying pretty hokey sci-fi storytelling in the text-only monologues of Super, Fusion and Dread, so whatever man, let her aurafarm

Also I've seen takes on this throughout but I think Samus should be allowed to speak as long as she's not talking the *whole* game front to back, which clearly isn't the case Other M really brainfucked people for the past 15 years on the perception of Samus as a character, it's a fierce rubberband
