I am also not a fan. Tho have tried to think of sth better and not much succeeded. But this one puts us in position of having to deal w/the likes of Tara Reade, with the slogan cornering us -> hypocrisy. Idea that it only means "take it seriously" is belied by responses that questioning is not okay.

Slogans can be helpful, eg in CO Phil Weiser’s slogan “Bennet for Senate” & earlier “March for Our Lives” However, this is a prime example of sloganeering opening a vitally important issue up to criticism It’s not analogous to “break a leg” which has a complex/unclear etymological history 1/2

I simply think it’s important to be intentional, thoughtful, & circumspect in messaging because our time & attention are limited & could perhaps be better spent on things other than defending ill considered slogans I don’t who is ignorant, disingenuous or is perhaps a little kid overhearing mom
