5 of 5 So What? Football has existed since humans banded together into societies. What changed in the 1860s was the creation of concepts that allowed us to decide on team size, tactics, positions, stadiums and the structure of competition. The poshies of London were not really interested in that.

Not just that, but that they deliberately changed who reviewed it to push it thru. The problem is, the Danish researchers involved have been affiliated with SDU for years, despite their questionable research. Soooo it seems less likely there’s going to be an institutional reputation hit.

Since it appears article is MOSTLY about the UK (I’m in Italy) I will say I spent 3 months there at beginning of this and while I loved it the people of Yorkshire (specifically Settle) were kind of dicks. If this is an article solely about the denizens of a small village not being nice, I’m on board
