It says so much about the absolute state of the games industry when Nintendo is the only one of the Big 4 to have both the means and intent to just bunker down and FOCUS ON GAMES. Xbox and Playstation are INSOLVENT without hardware hype, and Valve CAN NOT CARE about more than one game at a time.

Indie isn't just doing cool art, even though it can be that. It's also A LOT of stress and uncertainty, the kind of stress you can avoid when you're an employee with benefits. It's having to run a small business, and many of us go into art to avoid that kind of shit lol
