I've run for public office three times, in 2018 for Mayor of Phoenix, and in 2020 and 2022 for prosecutor in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. All three times I have run for office have been as a Libertarian, though I was nominated by the Democratic Party in 2022. I practice electoral politics.

From 2014 through 2020, I served as Chair of the Libertarian National Committee, during one of the fastest growth periods in Libertarian Party history, including the record shattering performance of the 2016 Gary Johnson / Bill Weld ticket that covered the spread between Trump and Clinton.

I've attended every biannual Libertarian National Convention since the 2000 convention held at the Anaheim Convention Center up to the 2026 convention held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, home of Justin Amash, the first Libertarian member of the House of Representatives (switched in office).
