The website, definitely. Gives room to spread out and study documents. The app is good for looking up specifics on the fly. Example: at a family gathering, someone questioned the height of a long-deceased grandfather. I found it on his selective service card, already party of our family tree.

uncovering an administration book entry for my 6th great-grandfather, James Spong, which gave me an idea of when he died... also, a document which revealed the maiden name of the second wife of another 6th great-grandfather, George Wardell I've blogged about both discoveries...
