Housing was in a bubble before 2008, then it burst, then we had an extremely slow recovery when much less housing was built than normal, then const stopped for 2 yrs for COVID, with pop growing the whole time. Now we just have a big housing shortage, and supply and demand does what it does.

You seem to be saying that housing bubbles and price collapses can’t happen. There is significant evidence to the contrary. And no, none of the collapses happened because people decided they didn’t need a place to live anymore
