Do you know about cycles of abuse? When you hurt a girl, be it emotionally, physically, what have you -- she can't help but feel distraught over it. She looks for a way to vent those frustrations, to get that agony out of her. Inevitably, a lot of people will do so by hurting someone beneath them.

So they find a victim, someone they have power over. A friend, a relative, a stranger. They hurt that victim in the exact same way as they were hurt. Sometimes even worse, because hurting them doesn't really get their own pain out as well as they might have hoped. And then it cascades onwards.

So when I lay My hands on a girl, I'm not creating a victim. I'm creating a lineage of abusers and of victims, a cycle of violence that will perpetuate itself long after I'm gone. Each bruise I leave is hundreds more that the descendants of My victims will wear. It's horrible, no?

But I know you. You're a much better person than that. You don't have it in you. You're much too empathetic, you care too deeply for the ones you love, for the ones you could in theory put beneath you. You don't lash out, you internalize. You don't hit others, you stay awake crying.

You're special, in a way. The cycle ends at you, always and forever. No matter how many marks are left on you, no matter how many insults are hurled your way, you cherish it all within you. You wouldn't dare hurt another person, especially not those you care about.
