Anyway I also really appreciate when people can react closer to what you drew in this comic hfbjfhchvh. I feel like there’s always an expected responsibility placed on the crushed person to not hurt the other person’s feelings — but not as much for the inverse. Weirdly.

Whoof oh my gosh this hits hard. Most of the time I’ve had friends lash out at me too was over this same thing — either me not reciprocating a crush, or someone who had a crush not telling me they had a crush, and still having relationship expectations from our friendship that I wasn’t meeting.

It really is traumatizing because if it happens to you even once or twice, if someone confesses feelings to you again, it becomes this whole stressful ordeal where you feel like you gotta choose your words very… very… VERY carefully… just in case they might react explosively too. 😟

anyway I'm just saying I really like it when people are gentle with me because they are aware of my trauma. I have some sincerely good friends and I wish I could go back in time to tell myself it is possible to actually, feel safe someday
