Students learned to build a reproducible pipeline, starting from raw electrophysiological data and working all the way to answering neuroscience questions.
Show Post1/4) I’m excited to announce that I have joined the Paradigms of Intelligence team at Google (github.com/paradigms-of...)! Our team, led by @blaiseaguera.bsky.social, is bringing forward the next stage of AI by pushing on some of the assumptions that underpin current ML. #MLSky #AI #neuroscience
Show Post3/3) I think it's time for the field to move on from predictive coding, per se, and refocus on uncovering the basics of how predictions are formed and compared to sensory data in the cortical microcircuit, rather than chasing ghost prediction error neurons. Hopefully this paper will help!
Show Post1/3) This may be a very important paper, it suggests that there are no prediction error encoding neurons in sensory areas of cortex: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... I personally am a big fan of the idea that cortical regions (allo and neo) are doing sequence prediction. But... 🧠📈 🧪
