One time during my PhD an editor suggested that I add my supervisor as co-author to an article I wrote and when I relayed this to my supervisor, it was the most I've ever seen him curse and he added the mere suggestion was "fucking corrupt". (This was in the Humanities, though.)

the only way around LLMs in higher ed is to move back to in-class, handwritten work (with exceptions for students with accommodations that prevent this)
