Mmm, could it be that our tests might be biased against mute and echolalic children, which leads to lower IQ scores because they cannot communicate in the way we wish? NO IT MUST BE THAT THEY ARE DUMB!

Yeah unfortunately there is no true end to this kind of bigotry. We just have to isolate it from power and reduce its harm as much as possible.
