This is the fairest take possible I think. I respect Jacob for owning up to his mistakes here, but I wouldn’t blame anyone for not wanting to engage with his content ever again. Yes, people do grow and change, but nobody is owed a platform. Also, I really hope the victim doesn’t get outed.

I believe you when you say that you've grown past that version of yourself and that you would never do something like that again. I also believe that personal rehabilitation does not necessitate forgiveness or acceptance. I wish you the best, but will no longer engage with your platform.

instagram did the cool thing again where it didnt like that people werent using some of its features enough so it changed the ux for people to trip into it constantly

A friend has convinced me to write an outline for a feature based on an IP I love “just in case” I bump into an executive in charge of it and they’re like “Well gawsh I’ve got these rights and this $100m but I ain’t got no clue what to do with it 🤪” This is how I’m justifying my fanfic as work 🤣
