There is no reason to trust Trump or Kushner. My mind is open on Jeffries. If Jeffries comes out overly conciliatory about ICE, the SAVE America Act, or other non-starters, we should excoriate him for it. But taking a meeting to establish baselines isn’t itself a betrayal.
