It’s been a while since I’ve updated you on The ATProtoKit Project. I had to take a bit of a break. I lost a monthly sponsor and it put me in a sad mood. I understand why: 1) this economy makes it difficult to support others, and 2) (most importantly) I haven’t demonstrated enough value.

Worth building in from the start: median rather than mean, grouped by app rather than by review. I had a field that looked 53% populated across 4,016 rows until I grouped by store: 10 of 11 sat at 0%, one heavy outlier carried the entire number. Review times will skew the same way.

I’ve read that it can be beneficial to not use all 30 chars, but to focus on your main keyword instead, to give it more weight. Seems to be the case here. I’d drop planner and see what happens. Keeping it as-is will probably not change for the better anymore. Keep us updated! :)

Conventional wisdom: this should not have hurt the ranking of those terms (should have improved)… unless they rank them based on relative importance in the whole string - i.e. percentage of total length. In which case adding planner has diluted the ranking of all terms in it? Ask Ari of AppFigures?

the bit that saves you next time is manual release. get it approved whenever, then hold it and press the button on your own date. the race only exists if the version is set to release automatically on approval.
