A bill going through Canadian Parliament would set metadata surveillance requirements for internet and technology firms. Since Signal doesn't retain conversation metadata, this actually would weaken the service. Once again, they'd rather leave. freedom.press/digisec/blog...

just deleted all instagram accounts (after finally deleting twitter a few months back) since end to end encryption is being removed tomorrow. lamenting the loss of these social spaces but rebuilding elsewhere! maybe more reading :)
