This makes me very annoyed and I agree with you about it being a false economy, especially when you consider how many of the general public are sneezing, coughing, not wearing masks, putting their fingers up up their noses and then touching grab poles on public transport etc.

I think many people feel viscerally betrayed that, after all their rhetoric in opposition, it's a *Labour* govt that is taking away essential support for ill & disabled people, making life so difficult for trans people & treating immigrants & refugees so badly. It's expected from the Tories.
