In the 1950s our family would spend a week during June, on Lake Kivu, Rwanda. There were a few cottages but we often had to stay in a grass hut. I was not fond of them as there were many biting insects in the dark. Our favorite pastime was swimming in the clear Luke-warm pristine waters!
