I remember seeing a tumblr post about how a fantastic series, or story doesn't generate much discussion or fanwork. It ends, everyone's more-or-less satisfied, there's not much more to say. A mediocre story generates TONS of fan discourse and work.

I've long felt a little guilty and bewildered about my lack of inspiration? drive? in creating more content for Pearlshipping. Like, surely I don't not love the ship anymore, right? No, it's still great! I'm endeared to them everytime I rewatch D/P. So, what's the issue? I think I've found it.
