OTD in 1965, one of Italy's worst severe weather days ever. Four strong to violent tornadoes caused massive damage from SE Piedmont to eastern Emilia-Romagna, causing 15 deaths and at least 244 additional injuries while destroying homes and vegetation and throwing cars from roads into fields

The overall event spanned almost the entire length of north Italy and featured giant hail and destructive winds up to 129 km/h, as well as other possible tornadoes divided in three phases. In total, 25 people were killed (22 on 04 July, 3 the day after) and potentially up to 500 people were injured
