NHJ is an issue not BC she chose wrong. It’s BC she didn’t think about the actual ways she’d have to supplement MORE for the choice she made should she want her kid to “get ahead” in ways that a classist, racist, system demands. FWIW— I think MOST parents should do more academically for their kids

I’m sure you’re getting it from all angles and your committee, but the best advice I got to make it a meaningful experience and to keep me level was: no one’s trying to get you, they’re all asking questions because you’re the expert and they want to know more about what you know. Good luck!
