Absent the covid fuck up there's a good chance Trump wins reelection in 2020. The problem in 2024 was that Harris by saying nothing will change fundamentally from the Biden Administration she just ended up pissing off both the centrists and the left who weren't happy with it.

And the DNC will be fine with that as long as they maintain their corporate existence. Great fundraising opportunity.  DNC is more likely to negotiate with GOP than work with new progressives.

I lost all faith in the electorate after 2024. Even assuming that the elections will be fair, which they already aren't after mass redistricting, it seems most people don't actually care about things like brazen corruption and subservience to russia. Cheap gas and eggs, and they'll again vote R.
