I feel like my whole life is little bits of "revenge bedtime" (staying up too late as rebellion against the constraints of life), and despite not being anti-AI it makes me want to rebel even more. Become more organized with AI? I'd rather lean into the disorganization than feel forced to comply.

I also continue to believe that my mental model is the best one, which does not conceptualize the “agents” as discrete entities, but rather as the protagonists in a story that the LLM has been trained to write about a cool little guy who goes on hacker adventures.

This is an unpopular take but as a neurodivergent self-employed person, LLM's have been an unbelievably helpful tool for the things I have struggled with my whole adult life: managing my finances, filling out paperwork, and staying on top of my email. I'm functional in a way I never dreamed of.

"How often do you buy into this" is frankly a big part of why I'm checked out. If there's anything real here, other people can figure it out, and it'll still be real in a couple years when everything finally settles out and we can see the forest for the trees again.
