This is the most important part. If we don't figure out how to break this narrative, even a good government will fall victim to it and we'll just end up ping ponging back and forth between parties while the quality of our society gradually gets shittier.

Obviously, Trump is terrible and I'm not arguing you should feel bad for him. But this dynamic, where the public is freaking out about prices MORE THAN 1979, despite inflation BEING 3.4%, will kill progressive policy stone-cold flat-out dead. And there is ZERO reason to think it'll end with Trump.
