Although, it’s not as frustrating on mobile as the Biodiversity Heritage Library; I love and appreciate it but even look at the screen and pages jump around and you lose what you’re reading 😭

A specimen was collected by Reverend Dr. Mackay in Tamsui (which encompassed Yangmingshan at that time), according to a 1909 paper by herpetologist Van Denburgh, who noted that his collector had also seen the lizards "at Takao sunning themselves on a stone wall." Takao is the old name for Kaohsiung.

I use the Biodiversity Heritage Library a LOT, and I love that it's free - but Rod points out that "free" and "sustainable" are hard to reconcile. I could get behind the "free quota, heavier users pay" model I think.
