That is completely over the top. Cars need to slow down and take more care. Pedestrians have responsibility on the road too, but drivers are the ones with the power to kill.

It always amazes me how you can travel around Europe, Northern Europe in particular, and there's no one wearing hi viz. It's almost like the cyclist and pedestrians are not invisible there for some reason.
