I can’t believe a woman gubernatorial candidate who was raped as a child by her stepfather and whose mother lost custody of her minor children as a result has to respond to an attack ad calling her a liar. It is, as far as the literature I know an actual unprecedented low in modern politics.

🙌🏻 I think data like this is always easy to challenge and never great at persuasion, but what it definitely did was make *me* more confident as an advocate. I no longer worry that I’m arguing for a minority interest; I now have confidence that the anti-bike people are the small minority.
